Google Scholar can be a great tool for searching resources including some of what's available in our library and others that are not. To get the most out of your Google Scholar searches we recommend configuring your settings to include W&J library access.

In the upper right corner of the Google Scholar search page you'll see three lines that open up the menu. Click Settings and then Library Links. Search for Washington & Jefferson College and then click the box next to the college name. Save your settings and now you'll be able to pass through to our library resources when available.

If you are logged in to a Google account you will only need to do this once. If you are not logged in to a Google account you'll need to configure the settings each time you start a new browser session.

If you find an article or book chapter through Google Scholar that is behind a paywall, use Interlibrary Loan to request the item for free through our library.
