Accessing the MLA Handbook Plus from Off Campus

To access MLA Handbook Plus from off campus, click on the MLA Handbook Plus link in the Databases A-Z list or visit https://mlahandbookplus.org/.

In the upper righthand corner, click “sign in”. A sign in box will appear. Select “Sign in via OpenAthens.” (See image 1)

You will be taken to another page. Select “Washington & Jefferson College Clark Family Library” from the Institutions drop down menu. (See image 2)

You will then be directed to the College’s Single Sign On page. Type in your W&J email address and password.

You will then be redirected back to the MLA Handbook Plus resource. You will know you have authenticated when you see “Washington & Jefferson College Clark Family Library” in the upper righthand corner. You can now click “Access the Handbook” to view the resource. (See image 3)
